James “Buck” Fernander Hendrick, 83, of 2319 New Prospect Church Road, died August 9, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center .He was born September 30, 1927 in Gaston County the son of the late William Ralph and Flossie Maybell Carpenter Hendrick.Mr. Hendrick was retired from Goodwill Publishers, Inc, Gastonia.
Survivors include his wife Jane Johnston Hendrick, of the home, a step-son Dale Evans, of Gastonia and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral from 10:00 -10:45 AM.
