Bobbie Wray Ballard Sorenson, age 82 of 111 Harrilson Road, died October 12, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Bobbie was born July 24, 1929 in Gaston County a daughter of the Late David Ray and Emma Jean Clawson Ballard. She was a 1946 graduate of Cherryville High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Joe Ballard and a sister Carolyn B. Robinson.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin Cox and Husband Greg, of Cherryville, three sons, Kyle Beam and wife Jan of Charlotte, Mark Beam and wife Dawn, of Cherryville, Todd Sorenson and wife Debbie, of Cherryville, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, a brother Ben Ballard and wife Libby of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Fite officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM at the church prior to the service. At other times the family will be the home of Robin Cox, 205 N. Jacob Street, Cherryville
