Bobbie Lackey Tallent, 58, of 8599 Reep’s Grove Church Road, died Friday February 11, 20011 at her residence.
Bobbie was born in Lincoln County, January 1, 1953 a daughter of late William Beverly and Ethel Palmer Lackey. She was a graduate of West Lincoln High School, Lenoir Rhyne College with a Master’s Degree from Appalachian State University, member of the NCEA, Teacher- Librarian for Lincoln County Schools and a member of North Brook Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Wesley Tallent, a brother, Glenn Lackey,
Survivors include her husband of 38 years Niles Tallent of the home, a daughter and son in law, Holly Kiser and Jim, of Cherryville, a son and daughter in law Will Tallent and Valerie, of Haskell, NJ, and three sisters Jean Gantt and husband Joe, Katie Dellinger and husband John , and Patsy Lackey , all of Cherryville. Her mother in law, Shirlene H. Tallent Hipp, of Vale.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday February 14, 2011 at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Pennell officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM and at other times at the home.
