Billy Wayne Conner, 47, of 148Fred Conner Rd., died Tuesday March 10, 2009 at CMC-Lincoln.
He was born in Gaston Co. on October 25, 1961 a son of Mildred Dellinger Conner of Cherryville and the late Fred Conner. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was a machinist.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his children Jessica Conner of Tex., Kristian Conner of Gastonia and Tony Conner of Cherryville, six sisters, Cathy Cook of Clover, Loyce Leophard of Cherryville, Judy Parrish of York, Rita Conner of Dallas, Linda Roberts of Cheraw, SC and Brenda McElroy of Charlotte, four brothers, Jimmy Conner of Lake Wylie, Lester Conner, of Cherryville, Tim Conner of Lake Wylie and Bobby Conner of Cherryville, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4 PM at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Calloway officiating with burial to follow in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 2:30-4 PM and at other times at his mother’s home on Ballard St., Cherryville.
