Betty Lee McGinnis Sisk, 84 of 219 Tot Dellinger, died November 24, 2009 at her residence.  She was born on October 20, 1925 in Gaston Co. a daughter of the late R. P. and Vergie Carpenter McGinnis.

Betty was a wonderful homemaker, loving mother and adoring grandmother.

She was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist where she was secretary-treasurer for 18 years, member of the choir, taught Bible School and was the pre school Sunday School teacher.

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Luther Sisk in 2004, a daughter Nina Sisk in 1983 and a sister Merlyn McGinnis Beam.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Luke and Kim Sisk, Cherryville, three grandchildren Skyler, Peyton and Tanner Sisk, nieces and nephews Murray Beam, Jr, Lenita Woodruff, and Vickie Duncan all of Cherryville , Jim Sisk, Charles Sisk, both of Lincolnton, Janet Howell of Shelby and Judy Taylor of Tarboro

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Calloway, Rev. Jerry  Lail, and Rev. Travis Mull officiating with burial to follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Luke and Kim Sisk.
