Bessie Cobb, of North Dr., Cherryville, died Nov. 24, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cobb was born on May 23, 1921 in Blacksburg, SC a daughter of the late Perry and Maude Bell Lefevers. She was a wonderful, Christian Mother and a homemaker. She belonged to the Living Word Ministries.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hunter Cobb in 1989 and a daughter Hazel Houser.
Survivors include six children Marvin Cobb and wife Pat of Kings Mountain, Christine Lail of Crouse, Margie Putnam of Cherryville, Clarence Cobb and wife Alice of Catawba, Hilda Britt of Gastonia and Jimmy Cobb of Cherryville, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, broher J. D. Lefevers of Kings Mountain and Ruby Davenport of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Laws officiating with burial in Mountain Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
