April Dawn Childers, 29 of 3262 Tryon Courthouse Road, died October 6, 2010. She was a native of Gaston County born April 29, 1981 the daughter of Robert Luther Hall and step-mother Georgia Hall of Stanley and Marlene Presley Danielsen, and step-father Craig Danielsen of New Bern. April was employed by Hibbett Sports of Shelby as assistant manager.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Childers, a son Dylan Hart Childers, a daughter Raven Seirra Childers all of the home. One brother Robert Lee Hall of Mt. Holly, three sisters, Robin Cogdill of Bessemer City, Julia Ralston, Mt. Holly and Wendy Hall of Dallas, two step sisters, Tammy Corley of Stanley, Christa Corley of Va. Maternal Grandmother Betty Mims of Kings Mountain, Father and mother in law: Don and Linda W. Childers, of Cherryville. Brothers and Sister-in laws, Kevin and Shannon Muse of Belmont and Todd and Stacey Price of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Cherryville with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial to follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2010, other time the family will be at the home of Don and Linda Childers, 3242 Tryon Courthouse Road, Cherryville.
