Dorothy Ann Wise, 83 of 133 Crescent Lane, died Friday May 21, 2010 at her residence.
She
was born on January 7, 1927 in Dade Co. Florida, a daughter of the late
Leonard Castile and Thelma Burton Richards. Dorothy was a member of
Bethpage Lutheran Church, formerly employed by Airport 77 Dobbs House
for 30 years, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
In addition
to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband’s Robert Blair
Wise and James William Wise, sister-in-law Mary Reems and
brother-in-law Wade Wise.
Survivors include her daughter Martha
Jean Elkovich of Charlotte, granddaughter Jennifer Leigh Crowley of
Charlotte, two great grandchildren Haley and Austin Sensing of
Charlotte, step daughter Sandra Wise MacArthur of Charlotte, step son
Tim Wise and wife Sandra of Cherryville, step grandson Devon MacArthur
of Portland, OR, and two sister-in-laws Margaret Duncan of Charlotte
and Sue Johnson of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be
conducted Monday at 2 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with her Pastor
Robert F. Mitschke officiating with burial to follow in Forest Lawn
West Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will receive friends Monday at the
funeral home from 12:30-1:45 PM.
