Alan Wayne Foster, 54 of 811 Requa Road, died December 13, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Alan was born September 3, 1956 the son of Ralph and Kathryn McSwain Foster of Cherryville. He was self employed with Foster Floor Company. He was an active member of Northbrook Baptist Church where he was a deacon, and youth leader, a member of Cherryville Bassmaster’s and avid fisherman, qualified in the Southern Regional Bassmasters Tournament.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Teresa Dale Sipe Foster of the home, Two daughters, Mindy Foster of Cherryville and Delana F. Ferguson and husband Alex of Cherryville, a grandson, Ethan Ferguson, three sisters, Betty Loretta Hoyle of Shelby, Charlotte Fleenor and husband Joe of Denver, Patience Huffman and husband Tim of Blacksburg, SC, In laws, Harold and Hazel Sipe of Cherryville,
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2010 at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the home of his daughter Delana and Alex Ferguson, 509 Spring Street, Cherryville, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
